Kemper Ludlow

Graduate Student

Pronouns: They/them/theirs

I love picking up new skills, including hobbies outside of lab. Currently, I spend most of my free time working on a variety of fiber crafts (knitting, spinning, sewing, embroidery, or whatever has caught my interest recently) and officiating with Ithaca's local roller derby league.

Research

Broadly, I'm interested in studying animal behavior from a perspective which merges the fields of physics and neuroscience. My current work focuses on fast flight control in fruit flies, and in particular which steering muscles are involved in the stability reflex about their roll axis.
