Cornell’s LASSP Professional Machine Shop is the university’s premier, full-service fabrication facility—supporting students, researchers, and external partners with research-grade machining, expert design collaboration, and end-to-end project execution. Located in the basement of Clark Hall and staffed by Cornell’s most accessible team of professional machinists, the shop is an underleveraged “gold mine” of fabrication talent, capable of transforming concepts into precision-built components across a wide range of fields.
What We Do
We provide design-to-delivery machining services, project and design consulting for all Cornell departments, research groups, classes, project teams, and external institutions.

Typical Hours: Monday through Friday, 8 am – 12 pm & 1 pm – 3:30 pm
