- Lecture Notes: Chapter 1
- Homework 1 (in lecture notes): Due Jan 29.

**January 25, 2020:**Manipulating Tensor Networks- Reading for today: arXiv:1306.2164 -- sections 1-4
- Other preparation: Bring laptop with Mathematica
- Please download the following notebooks: TensorIntro1.nb and TensorIntro2.nb -- and have them queued up on your computer.
- For basics of Mathematica, go to Worlfram's and Elementary Introduction to the Wolfram Language.

- Lecture Notes: Chapter 2
- Homework 2 (in lecture notes): Due Jan 31.

**January 29, 2020:**Advanced Manipulations- Reading for today: arXiv:1306.2164 -- page 15-18
- Other preparation: Bring laptop with Mathematica
- Please complete the notebook: TensorIntro2.nb -- that we did not have time to do last day.
- Please download the following notebook: TensorIntro3.nb -- and have it queued up on your computer.

- Lecture Notes: Chapter 3
- Homework 3 (in lecture notes): Due Feb 5.

- Other preparation: Bring laptop with Mathematica
- Please download the following notebooks: MinimalNamedTensors.nb and SInfiniteDMRG_Empty.nb . Put them both in one directory, then open SInfiniteDMRG_Empty.nb. It has a skeleton for our DMRG code.
- A running version the code is SInfiniteDMRG.nb, in case you get stuck -- but I recommend that you don't look at this unless you have to.
