Prerequisites: P217, vector calculus, Fourier transforms, complex variables.

Homework: Weekly homework assignments.
Homework is due on Mondays and will be handed back on the following Friday. Homework assignments will be posted approximately one week before they are due.

Prelims: Friday October 3rd and Wednesday November 12th (tentatively), in class.
Final exam: Friday December 12th, 2pm.

Academic Integrity: Each student in this course is expected to abide by the Cornell University Code of Academic Integrity. You are allowed to discuss the subject and the homework problems with others. However, you should write up the homework by yourself and acknowledge all sources.

Final grade based on homework (30%), two prelims (15% each) and final examination (40%).
