The LASSP Machine Shop is a full-service machining and fabricating facility that serves all of the Cornell campus. Recent requests have come from the Chemistry Department, Space Sciences, and Engineering.

Services we offer include:

  • CNC and conventional turning, boring, and threading
  • grinding, surface and cylindrical
  • electrical discharge machining
  • contour sawing and plasma cutting
  • shearing, rolling, and forming

  • welding: TIG, MIG, plasma, stick, and spot
  • brazing and soldering
  • water jet machining

Shapes include plates, rounds, squares, rectangles, hexagons, structurals, and tubings. We also stock a large assortment of fasteners, both English and metric, and plumbing fittings.
