Tenure-Track Assistant Professor of Theoretical Physics

The Laboratory of Atomic and Solid State Physics (LASSP) at Cornell University invites applications for a tenure-track appointment at the assistant professor level in theoretical hard condensed matter physics, to begin July 1, 2019. Candidates must hold a doctorate in an appropriate field, must have demonstrated an ability to conduct outstanding research, and must show promise for excellent teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate level. Applications should be sent to, and include a curriculum vitae, a publication list, a research statement, and a personal statement. The research statement should concisely summarize previous research accomplishments, future research goals, anticipated funding opportunities, and desired research group structure. The personal statement should concisely summarize teaching experience/philosophy, mentoring experience/philosophy, contributions to diversity, awards and recognition, and leadership efforts. Applicants should arrange to have three letters of reference sent to the same website.
